Yarina Klyuchkovskaya, the PR director of ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, has resigned.
“There are things completely unacceptable for me. When I read in the news that the Kazakhstan works of ArcelorMittal resumed steel sales to Russia, my decision was quick to follow. I understand, that AMT employs 35 thousand people. I understand that the market situation is difficult. And I understand that steel sales to Russia do not breach any sanctions. But I can’t find any motivation in myself to work for a corporation that takes such decisions ignoring the opinion of its employees in Ukraine. Because I don’t know any employee of the Ukrainian enterprise who supports this decision. I have see a lot of angry comments in social networks from colleagues who have recently beheld the flames of war from their balconies, I have heard a lot of angry words from my colleagues whose children wake up from air raid siren and are afraid to sleep. I can be neither the voice, nor the face of this decision. I cannot spread the statement that ends with “we are deeply concerned about the events in the Ukraine”,” she said. (Ukrainian metal)
