The Ukrmetallurgprom Association, which unites all major metal and mining enterprises of Ukraine, demands the exclusion of all Russian companies from the Worldsteel Association.
“The Global Association of Steel Producers is the largest and the most prestigious industrial organization. Yet, unfortunately, it includes representatives of the occupants – Evraz, Metalloinvest, MMK, NLMK, TMK, Severstal, Russian Steel, etc. We believe these companies help terrorists and finance war. With their silent consent the metal is turned into a devastating material used for killing the Ukrainian people,” the association said in its letter.
It added that the Ukrainian metal community helped the army, organized humanitarian aid and kept operating were possible to support the country economy.
Many employees have joined the army to protect their homeland. Bomb shelters of the metal and mining enterprises have become another home for the residents of Mariupol, Avdiivka, Kriviy Rih, Zaporizhzhya and other Ukrainian cities. (Ukrainian metal)
