Ukraine: ferroalloys output up in January-July 2021

In January-July, Ukraine produced 498.7 thousand tons of ferroalloys, down by 0.9% YoY.

In particular, ferrosilicon manufacture grew by 31.3%, to 45.8 thousand tons, and metallic manganese – 3-fold, to 4.08 thousand tons.

Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (NZF) and Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant (ZZF) produced 387.45 thousand tons of silicomanganese, up by 3.5%.

NZF, ZZF and Kramatorsk Ferroalloys Plant (KFZ) decreased ferromanganese output by 26.3%, to 61.6 thousand tons. KFZ was idle.

Pokrovskiy and Marganets Mining and Processing Works (PGOK and MGOK) produced 968.9 thousand tons of manganese concentrate, down by 4.1%, with MGOK producing 312.1 thousand tons (-1.1%) and PGOK – 656.8 thousand tons (-5.4%).

PGOK also produced 170.5 thousand tons of iron ore sinter, up 2.2-fold. (Ukrainian metal)
