In 2020, Metinvest enterprises paid 22.1 billion UAH of taxes to budgets of all levels, up by 5% YoY.
This equals almost half of what all companies in Ukraine pay to the budget in a month.
“Thanks to this, the government was able to survive the first and the most difficult year of the coronacrisis. Most of the money went to the local budgets, helping cities and towns provide all the necessary things for the hospitals, pay salary to municipal employees and take anti-epidemic measures”, the group said.
