Ukraine: pipe output down in 2020

In 2020, Ukraine decreased pipe manufacture by 16.3% YoY, to 854 thousand tons.

The Ukrtruboprom Association enterprises produced 538 thousand tons of pipes, down by 24.8%.

In December 2020, Ukraine produced 71 thousand tons of pipes, including 44 thousand tons by Ukrtruboprom.

Interpipe decreased output in 2020: Interpipe NTZ – by 33.7%, to 145 thousand tons, Interpipe NMTZ – by 23.9%, to 78.6 thousand tons, and Interpipe Niko Tube – by 16.5%, to 293.7 thousand tons.

Dneprovsky Pipe Works produced 0.3 thousand tons of pipes (17.6 thousand tons in 2019), Centravis – 19.05 thousand tons, down by 9.3%, and Trubostal – 1.6 thousand tons, down by 42.9%.

Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Kominmet, not parts of the association, increased output: by 4.2%, to 15.16 thousand tons, and by 12.2%, to 164.6 thousand tons, respectively.

Last year, pipe exports decreased by 22.8%, to 473.1 thousand tons valued at $521.9 million, down by 22%. (Ukrainian metal)
