According to forecasts, taking into account average loading in December 2020, this year Ukraine could produce around 21.6 million tons of steel, up by 5% YoY.
The people’s deputy Sergey Magera says, the main issue for metal companies will be sales.
“Now our main market is EU. Turkey is also interesting. But with EU imposing duties on Turkish hot-rolled metal and a possible introduction of mirror duties, Ukrainian exporters could face additional difficulties. Ukraine must maintain friendly relations with both parties”, he said. (Ukrainian metal)
