In 2019, Metinvest enterprises in Kriviy Rih – Ingulets, Severniy and Central Mining and Processing Works – spent 4 billion UAH on ecological projects under a city program until 2025.
In particular, the enterprises invested in new machinery and equipment, which helped decrease dust emission to 50 mg per 1 cubic meter. 14 automated environment-monitoring systems have been installed.
The companies also paid 304 million UAH of environment tax. Tax payments to budgets of all levels amounted to 9.8 billion UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
