Ukraine: pipe exports down in January-August 2020

In January-August, Ukraine exported 314.1 thousand tons of pipes, down by 29.1% YoY, valued at $357.4 million, down by 25.1%.

According to the customs statistics, in August exports decreased by 28.8%, to 32.1 thousand tons valued at $36.2 million, down by 19.4%.

Seamless pipes accounted for 232.7 thousand tons valued at $307.8 million. Ukraine also exported 73.2 thousand tons of other pipes and tubes for $39.7 million, as well as 7.7 thousand tons of pipes and tubes with the diameter of up to 406.9 mm valued at $7.8 million.

The main buyers of seamless pipes were Germany, USA and Russia. Turkmenistan bought more than a half of pipes and tubes with the diameter of up to 406.9 mm and Poland – around 50% of other pipes and tubes. (Ukrainian metal)
