As of early August, Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant has accumulated a monthly norm of products at its warehouses due to the absence of demand.
“We’re selling twice less products than we produce. We need to construct new covered warehouses, as there are no prospects of sales increase”, the company CEO Vladimir Kutsin has said.
According to forecasts, in August the works could sell planned 35 thousand tons of ferroalloys, but the warehouse would still remain overloaded.
4 furnaces have been shut down in the ferroalloys shop, with 8 furnaces operating.
In H1, average monthly norm of output was 47 thousand tons as opposed to 60 thousand tons last year. (Ukrainian metal)
