ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has presented a project to modernize its steam boiler No. 1 and boiler system, which provides the by-product coke manufacture with steam.
The boiler plant has two boilers with the capacity of 50 tons of steam per hour each. Purified coke gas is used as a fuel.
The steam boiler No. 2 was modernized in 2018, and now the company intends to repair the first boiler,
A new Siemens Ultramat 2321-02 gas analyzer will be installed at the plant.
After modernization of the boiler, pollution is expected to decrease by 38.4 tons per year, and the consumption of the natural resource – compressed air – by 438 thousand cubic meters. (Ukrainian metal)
