Gold production on Chukotka peninsula increased by 1.34% YoY, to 24.452 tons in 2019, the regional government said on January 15.

Silver production rose by 0.22%, to 111.677 tons.

Ore gold output grew by 2.56%, to 22.097 tons, while alluvial fell by 8.86%, to 2.355 tons.

Kinross Gold raised production by 7.38%, to 15.194 tons, and silver by 0.77%, to 103.331 tons. Its unit Chukotka Mining and Geological Company raised output by 12.06%, to 11.211 tons, but silver production fell by 0.9%, to 95.788 tons. Severnoye Zoloto gold output fell by 3.9%, to 3.983 tons, while silver rose by 28.12%, to 7.543 tons.

Output of gold concentrate at the Maiskoye deposit, developed by Polymetal’s unit, fell by 5.9%, to 4.392 tons.

Production of Rudnik Karalveyem, owned by Israeli businessman Lev Levayev, fell by 2.25%, to 1.671 tons.

Production of Valunisty Mine, controlled by Russian billionaire businessman Roman Abramovich’s Millhouse Group, rose by 27.69%, to 840.71 kilograms of gold, and silver grew by 23.61%, to 8.134 tons. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
