The chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and the Saratov region governor Valeriy Radayev have visited the metal works in Balakovo.
Its capacity is over 1 million tons of bars per year.
Next year the region will be able to spend 50% of its funds on development of manufacture and infrastructure. In particular, Balakovo Bar Works will be modernized.
Some 6 thousand new jobs will appear and a steel shop will be built.
The project will run for 2-3 years.
After that the company tax payments will grow to 35-40 billion rubles.
At present the company employs 1.2 thousand people. The average salary is 62 thousand rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
