In August Russia imported 82 thousand tons of chrome ore, up by 3.2% MoM and by 2.4% YoY.
Deliveries from Kazakhstan grew by 14%, to 70 thousand tons, while purchases from South Africa and Turkey dropped by 21% and by 39%, to 4.2 thousand tons and 7.6 thousand tons respectively.
In 8 months imports totaled 648 thousand tons, up by 2.8% YoY.
In monetary terms since the start of the year imports have decreased by 15.9%.
Import price in August dropped by 2%, to $167 per ton. (Ukrainian metal)
