Russia: Gaysky GOK constructing crushing-conveyer complex

Gaysky Mining and Processing Works has started constructing a crushing and conveyer complex.

The work is carried out deep below the surface – at the depth of 1275-1340 meters.

The network of conveyer galleries and crushing units will crush and transport ore from the low horizons to the Ekspluatatsionnaya mine shaft.

Investments in the first stage of the project will amount to 370 million rubles.

“Gaysky GOK now mines ore below the 1 km mark. To involve the lower reserves of ore in development, a plan to construct the crushing and conveyer complex has been developed. It will provide for the output of some 4.5 million tons of ore per year”, the company acting chief engineer Nikolay Yefimov declared.

The large-scale reconstruction of the Ekspluatatsionnaya mine started in 2011. According to the construction schedule it has to be commissioned in August. (Ukrainian metal)
