Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works has carried out an environment project.
One of the rolling shops has been switched to using recycled water in its manufacture. This allowed decreasing water discharge by a third, or by 500 cubic meters per hour.
A new water pipeline with the length of 600 meters has been constructed and new equipment for water preparation and filtration has been assembled. (Ukrainian metal)
