Russia is suffering from a considerable railroad wheel shortage.
The deliveries from two main manufacturers – OMK and Evraz – at 45 thousand rubles ($660) per wheel are not enough. The price reaches 150 thousand rubles ($2200) or even 250 thousand ($3670). While two years ago the price was 25 thousand rubles.
