In 2018 Severstal sold 150 thousand tons of new types of products developed under the Product Innovations project.
In particular, in late 2018 in less than a month a non-standard order was designed and produced for Severstal Steel Structures.
Earlier several months would have been needed. The company produces roofing sheet and asked to make it with the non-standard width of 1600 mm.
Another example is the development of the FB590 hot-rolled metal, which has no analogues in Russia. The works lasted for only 6 months.
The first batch of 660 tons was produced at the mill-2000 of the Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works and shipped to Uzbekistan. (Ukrainian metal)
