The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Federal Antimonopoly Service with the participation of metal companies have developed a new standard for the purchase of large diameter pipes.

The price is calculated according to a formula stipulated in the contract.

Gazprom is prohibited from buying more than 15% of pipes under short-term contracts. The rest has to be purchased under long-term contracts.

The volume of one purchase under long-term contracts should not exceed 120 thousand tons, and under shot-term contracts – 10 thousand tons.

The winner of an auction can supply 60% of pipes, the second-place winner – 25% and the third-place winner – 15%. Only if the second and third-place winners refuse from concluding agreement, can the ultimate winner supply 100% of pipes. (Ukrainian metal)
