Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works and Mechel-Coke have been switched to a special mode of operation to decrease pollution under unfavorable weather conditions.
In particular, ChMK has shut down its 125-ton electric arc furnace, one furnace in rolling shops Nos. 1 and 4, two crushers, etc.
The manufacture in the rolling shop No. 4 has been decreased by 90%
Mechel-Coke is working with the 65% loading. (Ukrainian metal)
