Gazprom has signed a contract for the delivery of 500 thousand tons of large diameter pipe for the Kovykta – Chayanda site of the Sila Sibiri gas pipeline with Zagorsky Pipe Works.
Other major pipe suppliers, including TMK and ChTPZ, refused to participate in the tender. They did not like the price, according to the sources. The maximum price was 47.7 billion rubles.
ZTZ received almost the whole volume of the lot, which was 601.9 thousand tons.
Gazprom does not say if it will purchase the remaining 101.8 thousand tons of pipes.
The capacity of ZTZ is exactly 500 thousand tons of large diameter pipes per year. (Ukrainian metal)
