In January-September TALCO produced 72.5 thousand tons of aluminum, down by 3.6 thousand tons YoY.
According to the company, the decrease is due to the capital repairs of machinery.
The repair and modernization of 300 electrolysis baths is expected to have finished by the end of the year, and the growth in output will begin next year.
At present the company is employing some 7 thousand people, and the average salary is $134 (1.262 thousand somoni).
In 9 months Tajikistan processed around 5.9 thousand tons of aluminum, up by 260 tons YoY.
Aluminum exports reached 71.7 thousand tons valued at $153.7 million. The average price was $2142 per ton. (Ukrainian metal)
