In January-August Ukraine exported 4.431 million tons of semi-finished steel products valued at $2.12 billion, as opposed to 3.83 million tons valued at $1.1451 billion last year.
In 8 months Ukraine imported 28.665 thousand tons of steel semis valued at $17.335 million, up from 7.362 thousand tons at $3.968 million.
The Western Europe countries accounted for 45% of Ukrainian semis purchases, while 98% were imported from Russia. (Ukrainian metal)
