Novgorodsky Iron and Steel Works has carried out a scheduled repair of the main furnace in the copper-smelting shop.
The cost of the repair is 2 million rubles.
“In May our metallurgists visited Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant to exchange experience on repairs and maintenance of machinery. Having implemented the techniques of our colleagues, we have considerably improved the preparation for the repair and the repair itself, which has allowed us decreasing the downtime from 7 to 5 days”, the company CEO Oleg Chernoshtan said.
