PJSC ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has won a rebars drop shipment contract for construction of new wind power plant (WPP) in Overyanovka village of Kherson region. Rebars of the enterprise are used for raising foundations for wind-powered generators of new power generation plant in the southern part of Ukraine.
Kherson region is one of the leading regions in Ukraine regarding development of “clean energy”. New wind power plant in Overyanovka village will consist of 12 turbines of 41 MW aggregate capacity. Object commissioning is scheduled for Q3. Windkraft company intends to construct two wind parks consisting of 42 wind electric plants of 140 MW aggregate capacity in Novotroitskoe and Overyanovka villages in total.
Supplies of steel products of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih for construction of renewable energy objects in Kherson region was started in 2017. Complete assortment of А500С rebars of 8-32 mm diameter and 12 m length is used for construction of two new Novotroitskaya and Overyanovskaya wind power plants. Shipments are done by both railway and motor transport. The total scope of supply of rebars is 1681 tons in 2017 and 151 tons in 2018 (so far).
