VIZ-Stal has begun the third stage of the bell furnaces modernization. By the end of the year the company will have put into operation 18 new stands.
The usage of the modern equipment will decrease maintenance costs by 20%, while increasing the reliability and wear-resistance of the furnaces.
The program to replace bell furnaces started in 2016 and would wrap up by 2021.
The company intends to replace 70% of its machinery. So far 38 out of 110 bell furnace stands have been replaced.
Investments in the third stage – the commission of 18 stands – total some 90 million rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
