Kola Iron and Steel Company is finishing the testing of the machinery in the zinc-cleaning site of the nickel electrolysis shop.
This is one of the components of a new investment project to implement a new electrowinning technique. Instead of traditional anodes insoluble anodes will be used in electrolysis baths.
To switch to the new technique Kola will have to construct or reconstruct 20 units. Construction and assembly of machinery at 15 units have been completed.
Investments in the project total 24 billion rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
