Russia: Udokan GOK commissioning not to be rescheduled

According to the Baykal Mining Company CEO Yuri Ryabov, the mining and processing works at the Udokan copper deposits will be commissioned in 2022. In a year it was expected to mine 6 million tons of ore.

At the same time, some media reported that the commissioning would be postponed for a year.

But the company confirmed that commissioning would not be rescheduled.

Udokan deposits are the largest copper deposits in Russia and one of the largest in the world. (Ukrainian metal)
