The trade union of ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih at the meeting held on March 14 demanded the company management to increase the salary to 1 thousand euros in UAH equivalent from April 1.
The employees also demanded the provision of safe working conditions: checking all roofs and constructions.
This is connected with the recent collapse of a roof in converter shop resulting in 1 death. Because of the harsh weather the roof could not support the load of snow and ice and caved-in.
The union also demanded to repair this roof. (Ukrainian metal)
