In 2017 ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih decreased output of rolled metal, steel and pig iron.
In particular, rolled metal manufacture dropped to 5.1 million tons from 5.5 million tons in 2016, steel – to 6.35 million tons from 7 million tons, and pig iron to 5.6 million tons from 6.1 million tons.
Iron ore mining increased to 21.9 million tons from 21.6 million tons, concentrate output to 9.1 million tons from 9 million tons, sinter – to 10.5 million tons from 10.4 million tons, and bulk 6% moisture coke – to 2.4 million tons from 2 million tons.
“Last year was complex for us, we faced a lot of difficulties in carrying out our manufacturing program. We were unable to repeat our record results of the year 2016, but still we worked successfully, on the level of 2015”, the company noted. (Ukrainian metal)
