On November 9 the public hearing on the antidumping investigation into steel wheels with the diameter of 710 mm and over originating from Ukraine and imported into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union will be held.

The current duty will be revised because of the new conditions.

The new antidumping investigation was initiated in late February at the request of Nizhiy Tagil Iron and Steel Works and Vyksa Iron and Steel Works. The previous investigation ended with the imposition of an antidumping duty of 4.75% for 5 years (starting from January 22, 2016).

The works believe the current duty is not enough to combat the import of railroad wheels from Ukraine.

At the same time Evraz and OMK (owners of the works) in early 2017 were suspected of overevaluation of railroad wheel prices in Russia. (Ukrainian metal)
