Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works has put into operation a site to produce welded beams.
The organization of the new manufacture will increase the company product range for construction. The first batch of products will be shipped to customers in late September.
With the new site put into operation, ChMK becomes the only company in Russia to produce both hot-rolled and welded beams of its own metal. Hot-rolled beams have been produced since 2013, when the rail-beam mill was put into operation. At present the company can produce 46 beam sections with the height of up to 150 cm. (Ukrainian metal)
