The decision to build a rotary-kiln complex at Chelyabinsk Zinc Works was taken in 2012 under the program to increase capacity. In January 2017 the complex was put into operation.
The project capacity of the complex is 296 tons of zinc-containing charge per day.
The sixth rotary-kiln in addition to increasing zinc output allowed increasing volumes of oxidized raw materials processing, in particular dust from copper manufacture, and expanding the raw materials base.
All in all while constructing the complex 4 thousand tons of concrete have been poured, 2500 tons of metal structures assembled, 100 km of cable laid, and 1500 units of equipment put into operation.
Investments in construction totaled some 1.5 billion rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
