By 2030 Belarus will have invested some $440 million in modernization of its foundries.

Among the priority projects is the Minsk Engine Works high-quality pig iron manufacture in Stolbtsy (Minsk region).

In early 2018 it is planned to complete the first stage of the project, and by 2028 – the second stage. By 2028 $207 million will have been used in the project.

Minsk Tractor Works will invest $88 million of loan and own funds into modernization of manufacture. The main stages of the project will be completed by 2022.

Minsk Car Works plans to use $93.5 million. In particular, on the reconstruction of the pig iron and foundry shops the company will spend $66 million, and on the modernization of steel smelting shop – some $25 million. (Ukrainian metal)
