The Department of the home market protection of the Eurasian Economic Commission has published a report on antidumping investigation as to hot-rolled steel angles originating from Ukraine.
The department says that in 2013-2015 the decrease in consumption of the products was 16.7%, the decrease of imports – 41.3%, of manufacture – 16.8%, sales – 16%, exports – 30%. Since 2015 the imports have increased by 41.6%, while manufacture and sales have fallen by 15.6% and by 14.3% respectively.
The EEC believes that to protect the market an import duty should be introduced in the volume of 37.89% for Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works, Azovstal, etc.
In May the Commission decided to impose a preliminary antidumping duty for 4 months of the same volume. (Ukrainian metal)
