Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works has produced a trial batch of hot-rolled coils according to API Specification 5L.
The coils will be used in the manufacture of electric welded pipes, the company CEO Yuri Zinchenko reported.
The coils were produced of B-grade steel, and their size is 4.7×1190 and 5.7×1190 mm.
“The trial batch of 118 tons has already been sent to the customer. Now we are awaiting their reply on the quality”, Zinchenko noted. (Ukrainian metal)
