Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works continues to develop the range of galvanized structural steel coils. In Q1 it mastered the production of zinc-coated rolled steel of SS Grade 50 according to American standard ASTM A653/A653M.
This product has the guaranteed strength properties and is used for the production of formed Z-, C-, Sigma- and U-shaped sections for lightweight thin-walled structures and supporting structures.
The first lot of SS Grade 50 galvanized coils was supplied to the USA. In 2016, the shipment of CS Type products as per ASTM A653/A653M was fine-tuned. More than 1,500 tons of galvanized coils have been shipped to the USA since the company started supplying there.
In April, the production of structural steel galvanized coils of S280GD grade was mastered in line with EN 10346. This product is in high demand in Europe, Ukraine, and the CIS. The first lot was shipped to customers in Romania.
In the past, the works mastered the serial production of galvanized structural steel of S220GD, S250GD, S320GD and S350GD grades, and rolled steel for cold forming of DX51D and DX52D grades as per the European norms. (SCM/Ukrainian metal)
