We have been thoroughly working at changes in remuneration system since early 2017. And I would like to thank all our employees, as well as trade unions for cooperation, assistance and patience. Decision about salary increase is really required, but it is very tough in the current business environment of our company. Despite all challenges, we continue our large-scale investment program aimed at transforming our plant into modern and efficient industrial unit by 2020. Together with salary increase up to 70% to our employees, we start construction of a new coke oven battery No. 5 and two new continuous casting machines. ArcelorMittal is the biggest foreign investor in Ukraine and responsible business, and its development depends on operation stability and profitability. My decision to increase salary to employees will give them additional social protection in the current challenging situation in Ukraine. I know that now the country undergoes very difficult, but such an important transformation process. And I do believe in its successful future and I do confirm ArcelorMittal commitment to Ukraine”.
