DTEK Pavlogradskaya Central Processing Factory in 43 years has processed 150 million tons of coal.
This coal is supplied to 5 out of 7 Ukrainian thermal power plants, operating on gas-coal.
In 2016 the factory processed 4.8 million tons of coal, an absolute maximum in its history, producing 2.9 million tons of concentrate.
“The factory was put into operation in 1974. Most of the machinery became obsolete. With the target capacity of 5.2 million tons of coal per year the factory could process not more than 4.2 million tons. Modernization, carried out in the last 3 years, will allow us to process up to 6.5 million tons of coal per year. The investments total $28.4 million”, the factory director Andrei Fedorov said.
This year the factory intends to process 6 million tons of coal. The coal is supplied by the two largest DTEK mines from West Donbass – the mine named after Space Heroes and Blagodatnaya. (Ukrainian metal)
