Russia: Uchaly GOK profits down in 2016

In 2016 Uchaly Mining and Processing Works, a part of UMMC, received 3.019 billion rubles of net profits, down by 8.5% YoY.

According to the company statement, its EBITDA totaled 3.93 billion rubles, down by 5.4%, sales profits – 3.345 billion, down by 41%.

The company revenues dropped by 10% YoY, to 21.749 billion rubles, with copper concentrate yielding 42% (9.104 billion rubles), zinc concentrate – 21% (4.519 billion), gold – 13% (2.907 billion) and silver – 7% (1.559 billion rubles).

In 2016 Uchaly GOK mined 7.679 million tons of copper and copper-zinc ore.

The company reserves are estimated at 70 million tons of ore. (Ukrainian metal)
