In 2017 Chelyabinsk Zinc Works, a part of UMMC, plans to produce 183 thousand tons of zinc, up from 174.8 thousand tons in 2016.
According to the company PR-department director Natalia Vasilyeva, in 2016 output increased by 2.2% YoY.
The ChTsZ daughter company in Kazakhstan, NovaZinc, produced 36720 tons of zinc concentrate and 5680 tons of lead concentrate. The Brockmetal Co. Ltd in Birmingham, UK, increased zinc alloys output from 36400 tons to 36910 tons.
Chelyabinsk Zinc Works plans to reach its project capacity of 200 thousand tons of zinc per years in 2019. (Ukrainian metal)
