When the second stage of the Kamensk-Uralsky Iron and Steel Works rolling complex is put into operation the company will be able to finish the realization of one of the largest projects in the world on the production of semi-finished products of aluminum alloys.
The local authorities granted 74 million rubles from the regional budget to the company to partially decrease loan burden. In 2014 the complex received the status of the priority investment project, which allowed the company to substantially decrease income tax.
The first stage of the project – the cold-rolling shop – was put into operation in May 2015. The second stage, planned for this year, presupposes the construction of the sheet and plate shop, as well as thermal treatment shop.
The main consumers of the new complex are the leading aviation corporations, namely Boeing and Bombardier. (Ukrainian metal)
