In January Ukrainian companies increased ferroalloys output by 35% YoY, to 89.72 thousand tons.
According to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers, silicomanganese output totaled 66 thousand tons, up by 31.77% YoY, ferromanganese output – 13.88 thousand tons, up by 75%, and ferrosilicon – 8.89 thousand tons, up by 13.25%.
Metallic manganese production went up by 17.3% YoY, to 0.95 thousand tons.
Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant is still idle.
In 2016 Ukraine produced 1.028 million tons of ferroalloys, up by 16% YoY. In particular, silicomanganese output increased by 16.7%, to 814.97 thousand tons, ferromanganese – by 19%, to 104.47 thousand tons, and ferrosilicon – by 12.5%, to 101.42 thousand tons, all YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
