In 2017 Seligdar intends to produce over 830 tons of tin, up 1.5 times YoY.
“In 2016 we mined 618 tons of tin, up by 7% YoY. In autumn 2016 we put the Solnechnaya processing factory into operation, which would allow us to increase output 1.5 times. We have also started the reconstruction of the Molodezhny mine – it will supply raw materials to the factory”, the company president Konstantin Beirit said.
According to him, Russia stopped mining tin in early 2000, while its annual demand is 3-5 thousand tons.
“We strive to completely replace imports, and Seligdar is the only local player on this market”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
