In January Ukraine increased pig iron exports by 50.6% YoY, to 241 thousand tons, valued at $68.4 million, up 2.6 times YoY.
According to the State Fiscal Service, pig iron was mostly exported to the US (58.8%), Turkey (19.3%) and Mexico (10.3%).
At the same time, in January Ukraine imported 140 tons of pig iron valued at $64 thousand tons. All pig iron came from Russia. In January 2016 Ukraine did not import pig iron. (Ukrainian metal)
