According to the people’s deputy Vladimir Parasyuk, the railways leading to the Russia-supported militants-occupied territories of Donbass have been cut.
“I don’t know who has done this, but I’m sure those were the thinking Ukrainians who grew tired of the war. Now nothing will get there for sure”, he said.
On January 25, the ATO veterans blocked the Lugansk-Popasnaya railroad within the trade blockade of the militants-occupied regions of Donbass. The following day they blocked the Svetlanovo station in Lugansk region.
The railroad connects coalmines, Ukraine and Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, a part of ISD.
The route through Popasnaya is the only way to deliver raw materials to the works. An alternative route is through Debaltsevo to Krasny Liman.
AMK resumed operation in summer 2015, but the output is unstable as there are problems with raw materials and electricity deliveries. (Ukrainian metal)
