The first stage of Tajikistan Iron and Steel Works has been put into operation.
The company consists of 6 shops, and has a 100-mWt substation.
The works is expected to produce and process 80-120 thousand tons of minerals, increasing its capacity to 200 thousand tons per year. At first the company will produce 12-27 mm rebars, followed by iron powder and other minerals from the Shokhkadambulok deposits. (Ukrainian metal)
