Ukraine: AMKR pays 4.8 million UAH to the city infrastructure development

ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih paid 4.8 million UAH of the share contribution for the development of city infrastructure. Since 2008 AMKR has concluded 63 agreements of share participation with Kriviy Rih City Council. All the costs in full will be transferred to local budget for development of engineering-transport and social infrastructure of Kriviy Rih in correspondence with Ukrainian legislation.

ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih continuously performs construction works on technical revamping and reconstruction of production objects and performs new construction despite tough economic situation in the country. The main objects of construction on which share contribution was allocated are: reconstruction of buildings and structures of sinter strand No. 6 complex of Sinter Shop No. 2; reconstruction with replacement of gas exhausting ducts, construction of new gas cleaning units behind converters No. 406 in Converter Shop; reconstruction of gas cleaning units of inclined conveyers’ loaders of section No. 9 of beneficiation building No. 2 at Ore Beneficiation Plant No.2; reconstruction of rotating furnaces No. 1-5 – 1 launch complex of Refractory and Lime Shop; construction of pulverized coal injection unit in blast furnace No. 9 of Blast Furnace Shop No. 2; reconstruction of coke-oven batteries complex No. 5 and 6; total overhaul of Kryvorizhstal stela with replacement of luminance display board located in Kryvorizhstal street.
