In January-July Russia imported 257 thousand tons of steel pipes, up by 20% YoY.
According to the Federal Customs Service, CIS share increased from 108 thousand tons to 150 thousand tons. At the same time imports from foreign countries remained almost unchanged: they went up from 107 thousand tons to 108 thousand tons.
In H1 Russia produced 5.1 million tons of steel pipes, down by 10% YoY. Electric-welded pipes showed the most drop – by 30% YoY, to 1.4 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
