The Commercial Court of Donetsk region has prohibited the State Property Fund to give the assets of the state scientific-manufacturing enterprise Ukrmekhanobr (Dniepropetrovsk region) to other legal entities or to prevent the Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works from using them.
The court has also prohibited anyone to take any decisions to prevent, stop or cancel the activities of Mariupol Ilyich in using Ukrmekhanobr property.
The agreement between the fund and Ilyich on using the property was signed on July 14, 2005. In 2010 the contract was prolonged for 5 years till 2015, and then till April and August 2016. The lease agreement expired on July 31, 2016.
Ukrmekhanobr provides 90% of the Ilyich blast furnace shop needs and 40-50% needs of its sintering factory in ore. (Ukrainian metal)
