In May Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works started producing a new kind of hot-rolled coils.
The company produced a first industrial lot of S235JR hot-rolled coil with the size of 3×1500 mm in accordance with EN 10025-2. This is the first time that such coils are produced in Ukraine. Previously Ukraine had to import them from Russia. These coils are used in construction, railroad car manufacture and pipe industry. (Ukrainian metal)
